I spent the majority of the day walking along the Mall in D.C.. I played tourist and visited all the monuments, waved to the president ('s house), and said hi to my namesake on the $2 bill. Then went to the National's game with Emily and Adam. To sum up the fan base down here I heard this on the metro, "Are you going to the game, too? To watch them get their asses whooped...again?" A whopping 12,000 people in attendance, which is 7,000 more fans than the former Expos had. But tickets were on $10, and we saw plenty of Sox fans there. Off to Gibsonville, NC on another beautiful day.
$10 for 10 innings, what a bargain. MAD
