Kayak

My uncle Richie and I met his coworker Katie at Santa Clara Bay for some practice kayaking before their event the next day. 200 people will be gathering for a couple-mile paddle in the ocean. Katie and I grabbed the tandem first with her steering in the rear. We reached the other side and swapped positions while Richie stayed in the solo. After a few hours of learning all the techniques, I tried the solo craft...and quickly turned back. It's much more unstable, and I didn't feel like falling in. The water was warm, but the air was unseasonably cold.
