It took me literally 15 minutes to find the exit of this airport. Men aren't allowed to ask directions, and the maps weren't helping me. Maybe they wanted to keep me trapped in there to buy more food and beverage.
I asked the taxi driver to take me to the motorcycle dealer where I had my bike shipped. He hadn't heard of the road it was on, and got lost getting there. It was Kearny Villa Rd next to Miramar Air Force Base. But you know that road better as the one Tom "Maverick" Cruise raced his Kawasaki down alongside an F-14 Tomcat. I did take the obligatory "flyby" but you weren't allowed to stop and take pictures. I'm no expert at fighter jet identification but I'll guess they were F-18 Hornets and F-22 Raptors. And there were plenty of them doing "burnouts" in the sky.
