Oregon II

I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.

Completely unrelated, I had lunch in Astoria where they filmed Goonies 25 years ago...last week.  So not only did I miss a Chunk/Data reunion, I also missed a 5.7 earthquake in San Diego by four days, and a 10,000 person motorcycle rally in northern CA by three days.  Who planned this trip anyways?

I had to bust out the rain gear towads the end of last night, and all throughout this morning.  I had at least eleven-teen layers on, but I was warm and dry.  I'm not a fan of my second helmet - I can only go about 70 miles before my head starts to hurt, so I had to keep stopping. Thankfully the wetness let up this afternoon and I could finish with my primary helmet.

I had lunch at a the Red Building Bistro - or something similar.  The waiter asked where I was from and when I mentioned Lowell, he said, "Oh, the Spinners and Jack Kerouac, right?"  Turns out he was from Pembroke, and knew the area quite well.  He told me to go visit the Chamber of Commerce to get all the Goonies info, but my brother had txted me the addresses.  I haven't seen the movie in a long time, so I didn't really recognize any of the main buildings.

Above is Data's house next to the one of Haim's character.  Their neighbor's house is for sale, but I didnt check the asking price.  Awesome view of the harbor, but you'll have to put up with tourists all day long.
